A board-certified veterinary internal medicine specialist, Joseph Bisignano, DVM, provides direct patient care through referrals from general veterinary practitioners and consultations. He sees patients on both an outpatient and hospitalized basis. Providing a wide range of services and procedures, from abdominal ultrasounds and rhinoscopies to foreign-body removals and CT scans, he is familiar with all areas of veterinary internal medicine. Prior to starting this position, Joseph Bisignano, DVM, completed a one-year intensive training program at VCA
West Los Angeles Animal Hospital as a medicine and surgery intern.
Dr. Joseph Bisignano began preparing for his career by receiving his bachelor’s degree from New York University. While in school, he maintained a strong interest in marine mammal care and worked as a marine mammal trainer at the Wildlife Conservation Society New York
Aquarium for a year. Dr. Bisignano also worked as a veterinary technician for St. Francis Animal Hospital. He subsequently received his doctor of veterinary medicine from Western University of Health Sciences.
Dedicated to gaining as much experience as possible, Dr. Bisignano spent time as a veterinary preceptor for Wildlife Conservation and Immobilization and as a dolphin trainer and veterinary preceptor for Dolphin Quest. He then completed his specialist internship and residency training before beginning his current role. Education
